What does "licensed in Belgium" mean?
In Belgium, offering online betting rests on a supplementary licence, the F1+ licence, not on a standalone online licence. The Gaming Commission first grants an F1 licence for organising betting offline. Only afterwards, and only to the holder of that F1 licence, can an F1+ licence be granted for the online version of the same activity.
That structure has a direct consequence for the list above: every licensed site is backed by an operator that already runs a regulated betting activity in Belgium. An online-only operator with no Belgian footprint falls outside the scheme. The F1+ licence also expires at the same time as the F1 licence it depends on.
Licensed site and holder: what the register actually publishes
The Belgian register publishes the licensed site, not the commercial name. That is a substantive difference from other European registers, which list brands. The "Brand or site" column on this page therefore reproduces the domain as it appears in the official export, without substituting a trading name for it: it is precisely that domain, and only that one, that the licence covers.
The holder shown next to it is the establishment in whose name the licence is registered. It does not necessarily match the brand the public knows, and one company may run several declared sites under separate licences.
Why are some licensed bookmakers not tracked by OddScore?
The regulatory list and OddScore's coverage answer two different questions. The Commission says which sites are authorised to offer online betting in Belgium. OddScore says which operators are currently integrated into its odds comparison system.
A bookmaker can therefore be legally licensed without being tracked by OddScore. Conversely, the "Tracked by OddScore" badge never replaces a check with the regulator: it only means some of the operator's odds are compared by the platform.
How can I check a site myself?
No third-party list replaces the official register. To check a licence yourself:
- Open the Gaming Commission's F1+ licence register.
- Search for the exact domain, character by character.
- Check that the licence expiry date has not passed.
- Check that the holder matches the establishment named on the site.
- If in doubt, consult the blacklist of unlicensed sites published by the Commission.

Why does the list of licensed sites change?
A regulatory list is never final. The Commission may grant a new F1+ licence, record a change of site, note the transfer of a licence between companies, or withdraw it. An F1+ licence can also lapse because the F1 licence it depends on was not renewed. That is why the last-verified date should always be read together with the list.
Responsible gambling — a licence does not remove the risk. Sports betting carries a risk of financial loss. A regulatory licence does not make gambling risk-free. What is an F1+ licence?
It is the supplementary licence allowing betting to be organised online in Belgium. Only an F1 licence holder — the licence covering offline betting — may apply for it, and it expires at the same time as that licence.
How do I check whether a betting site is licensed in Belgium?
Search for the exact domain in the F1+ licence register published by the Gaming Commission. A domain that is close to but different from the one in the register is not covered by the licence.
Is a licence issued in Malta or Curaçao enough in Belgium?
No. Only a licence issued by the Belgian Gaming Commission allows online betting to be offered in Belgium. Sites without a Belgian licence appear on the blacklist published by the Commission.
Why does the list show a domain rather than a brand name?
Because that is what the register publishes: the Commission declares the licensed site, not the commercial name. Keeping the domain as it stands avoids introducing a brand name that is absent from the official source.
Why does the OddScore list differ from the official register?
The official register lists licensed sites. OddScore only tracks some of these operators to compare their odds. A bookmaker can be licensed without being tracked by OddScore.
